God and the Subconscious Mind
78Angels and Demons
According to the Bible nobody has ever seen the invisible God, God the Father in His true form.
John 1:18 18No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.
Exodus 33:20 20And he [God] said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live.
People have, however, seen manifestations of God. Moses saw God manifested as a burning brush. Jacob saw God manifested as an angel. The list goes on, and the point of this hub isn't to question whether or not anyone has ever seen God. Now, see, nobody has seen the true form of the invisible God. Yes, people have seen manifestations of God, but that's something different.
Now then, when God wills to send either an angel, or evil spirit to someone he might give them a visual form so that the person may perceive with his visual sense, the manifestation of the angel, spirit, invisible entity. Here's the question: How does God decide the visual manifestation of the angel, spirit, etc that He sends to person? Perhaps it is through the subconscious mind that he does this. God knows our every thought, our every desire, He knows of everything we've repressed, and He's known this since before we were ever born. What does the subconscious mind have anything to do with the appearance of the invisible things created by God? A lot actually.
Subconsciously we all have our beliefs on what angels and demons look like. Over time we read more about them, and often our beliefs in what they look like changes. Once I read in the Bible about angels appearing to people in the Bible, and the first thing they often say is "Do not be afraid." Well, let me just say that after that I didn't think angels to be these fat little babies with tiny wings, fluttering about. In fact, it seems quite evident that they appear in quite a frightful form. But how exactly do they appear to people, and is there form always the same?
If art is any indicator then the answer is a big fat no. But, we're not here to discuss art, that will wait for another day. This is about the subconscious mind, and the invisible.
Now suppose that a person has a subconsious fear of spiders. Let's imagine that another person subconsciously associates the color red with war. An evil spirit might appear as a spider, or several spiders. It may appear as a person with spiders crawling all over them. The second person may see an angel of war who's dressed in red, or has red features. Is this the true form of these invisible spirits?
No.
God
How about God? Why has he manifested in the forms that He has? Moses saw him as a burning bush, Job as a whirlwind, and Jacob as an angel. If you look, all three of these are rather fierce looking things. These are the things that would make a person stop and take notice. Subconsiously these are also things that a person might attribute to God.
I've had dreams where an angel has visited me, and I'll say right now, they didn't look anything like how I would have imagined them. But, perhaps another amazing aspect to this is researching the angel, finding out what they're the angel of, and then slowly realizing...
They appeared close to the idea repressed in the sub-conscious mind. God can and does and will search our hearts, our minds, and our sub-conscious minds, and all of this for His divine will.
Fascinating stuff.

Yes, forgiveness is a miracle of God in itself. I'm praying for God's direction in writing an inspirational hub on this topic.
I also know that faith plays the most important role when dealing with spirits of darkness. I remember a dream I had where I was under attack by several spirits and while the Lord told me this was Satan and to use scripture, the scripture itself had no power over Satan. It was then the Lord asked me the foundational questions of faith in Him as my Savior. Once I settled that issue and was filled with faith, the scripture had power over Satan because of that faith. It brought life to that scripture that states, "By grace are you saved through FAITH". Amen!!
WOW, no kidding!
see my comment in "reccommend another hubber's hub" thread - as I say, I am usually not interested in this stuff . . .
Subconscious Mind, Dreams and God.
I have learned through the study of psychology and the law of attraction to make use of my subconscious mind. I know that I can relate to God through my subconscious mind. And infact, the teachers of psychology and the law of attraction comment that the more you develop your subconscious mine the more you relate to God or at least become more spiritual. I tend to believe this theory.
However, when it comes to Dreas and God, I beg to differ.
I have had dreams that manifested with a 100% accuracy. Even the Book (Bible) teaches that God, Almighty caused his people to have dreams such as those that Joseph, Daniel and Jacob had. Even God also causes his enemies to have dreams. For instance, Pharoah and Nebuchadenezer who were not in God's good books also had dreams believed to have been caused by God.
Nevertheless, I have had dreams that eventually appeared as day-dreams, fantasy or without any understable meaning at all. Can this later type of dreams also be associated with God?
Fisrt of all satan is a legalist.Thats how he can get a legal right to enter into someone .People today dont study the bible like they should , thats why many are attacked and are in bondage to satan and his demons.HOSEA 4:6 MY PEOPLE PERISH FOR THE LACK OF KNOWLEDGE....Learn your rights and stand against satan and his demons !!!!!!
Nice job done dear. Check my hub too. "There is power in your word."

This is interesting. I personally have had dreams that seemed to show that evil spirits look like what they are sent to accomplish (or what they do) ~ for example, one was an obese spirit holding a bowl of a potion or chemicals ~ and she was casting a curse (laughing) on a Christian woman that was suffering from a chemical embalance causing obesity. That sister in the Lord and I then knew how to pray against that spirit.
Another time, a spirit showed up in my dream as an arrogant, narcissistic male that hated women, which was revealed as the spirit influencing a particular male I had been praying for. He was behaving in this exact manner and was bound by this type of thinking ~ to an extreme.
Both spirits were destroying their victims in the ways they appeared or were manifested in the dreams. If dreams are of the subconscious mind, it certainly helped me to understand these spiritual matters more clearly.
Just my little bit of testimony ~~
